The social media experiment
In order to test the social media waters many companies and individuals are creating pages and gaining followers in order to brand themselves. There are small business owners and CFO’s of large companies like Samuel Foti who are bridging the gap between social media and business networking. This is all about creating the links and buzz to the advertisers site. All major companies have whole departments dedicated to creating top of mind awareness about their brand or service. Now there are specific companies that have been created to help collaborate the common blogster with some advertisers looking for some word of mouth.
Some have written that this pollutes the “Blogasphere”, but I beg to differ. For me it has helped me to pay more attention to my blog daily, and the posts are actually creating visitors, and yes even paying customers to some of my other offerings. I do not write about things that do not interest me, and I provide a disclaimer on my bog about such postings.
