Dogs may be the secret to happiness for many people. Owners will walk their dogs daily whether they feel like it or not, so you have a kind of forced exercise. Dogs can also sense when you are not feeling well, or unhappy and will lay by your side to comfort you. It is amazing how much they can sense from their owner. It is equally important that your pet be in good health and spirits as well. Some research has shown that well rested pets can be happier and more playful with their owners.
The right dog breed can make a huge difference depending on your family and size of your home and yard. You see so many full blooded dogs these days, and they will have papers with them. I assume there is money to be made for the dog breeders. Do dog breeders start the business to make money? Or do they just have a love for dogs? I assume it’s a little of both. I love having dogs, but I currently don’t have one. I know that there are ongoing expenses like pet supplies that must be accounted for when buying a dog.I like to let them run loose in the yard. I don’t like pinning up an animal or leaving them on a chain. Keeping a pet indoors for me, is just not imaginable. I just don’t feel that you can keep your house too clean, with pet odors and hairs that come with them. I know most full blooded breeds you can usually buy for around 500 dollars. I guess depending on how rare the breed is. I know some will fetch 1000′s of dollars, but cause they are not many of them. I assume with the drive to make money, the rare won’t be so rare anymore, as people in the business will want to make as much as possible.

To highlight his point we were just reading an article about the South Korean police force having to find a more secure way to identify their 100,000 officers that could not be easily duplicated. They went to a registered hologram technology that is next to impossible to copy and is encoded specifically for their police force. They decided to print the cards internally to prevent any counterfeiting of ID badges. Many of the outfits that do this use the HP Laserjet print cartridge printers in order to reduce duplication and have a longer lasting image that can be scanned and worn in the field. Since the newly registered can’t be copied or reproduced by conventional printers or scanners this gave them a high level of security. They also included a color photo of the officer and essential information for the id card holders.
Because of the cost savings that they would realize they installed printers centrally and throughout the 22 provinces to be able to print on demand and then have them networked together so that a central database could be used and monitored. The South Korean police expect to print somewhere between 35K-60K cards annually and look to install chips in the cards to help restrict access to controlled areas. You could also expect them to buy lanyards in large quantities which will help display the badges more prominently for civilians and other law enforcement officials to be easily recognize those on the force.

What are your thoughts on Hawaii? Is this tiny group of islands in the Pacific the perfect place to take the family on vacation or is Hawaii more for people that have just tied the knot? There’s two places I have always wanted to go to. One is Las Vegas and the other is Hawaii. I would have my concerns with the tsunamis that exist in the Pacific Ocean, but it just seems like such a magical place. It probably wasn’t like that on December 7th, back in 1941, when Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese. I think the tiny islands have all recovered since then and Hawaii is one of the top tourist destinations for Americans.
I guess my travels to Hawaii will be done as a vacation for me adn looking for Expedia coupons will be a way to help reduce the cost of part of my trip. I would hope to make a trip there before I get married, because that might still be a long time away. Maybe I can just hop on a plane and go to Vegas and Hawaii on the same trip. I think that is called killing 2 birds with one stone. If I did do both on the same trip, I could give a good comparision and decide which place is best. If I had to pick only one place to travel to for right now, I would certainly choose Hawaii over Las Vegas.

I like to hear about all the advances in hair replacement these days. There are many of us who are suffering from itchy scalp which could be a precursor to hair and scalp damage. There use to be two ways to handle hair loss and for many of us going to the hair piece is not an option. Accept it gracefully and go on with your natural appearance or to get a toupee or some sort of wig to cover up those bald spots. Fortunately to the people out there now that are losing their hair, or will soon be losing their hair, there is better alternatives.
I’m not sure about all the latest studies on all the drugs that people use to naturally grow hair, but I know they exist. Another way to cover the balding areas is with a Hair Transplant. I think the modern ways of covering up those shinny spots on our heads is so much better than the older days. I guess women are lucky they don’t have to worry about this problem, but then again we don’t have to shave our legs, so maybe it’s all fair at the end of the day!

I think some of the neatest games online is the ones you can share with people that might be in another state or even another country. It’s really cool to see how some of these games let players interact with each other from all over the world. Facebook has been one of the places that we go to online to play cards against friends since it is free and you can challenge each other. There are different ways that you can get facebook poker chips such as purchasing additional chips however I prefer to win most of mine from my friends. Who ever was the first one to think of this, really did hit the nail on the head. It has been popular right from the start and its only gaining as new gamers come online and discover how they too can play with friends, co workers and strangers that might be located thousands and thousands of miles away.
Do you currently play an online computer game where you get to interact with people all over the world? If you do, please be sure to let me know what the game is. Also, give me an idea on how much it might cost and if there is any monthly fees or extra charges I have to pay, so I can interact with other people on the computer. I know I have a surfing team online and we have members on our team from all over the world. It’s pretty cool how we all strive for the same thing and try to earn as many advertising credits as possible, so we can promote our online interests. I have really learned a lot since January on how other cultures think, talk and some types of food they eat. I have certainly been learning more about the world I live in and it’s because of the internet and the ability it has to let me speak to people from all over the world. So if you have a game that allows you to chat with others from around the globe, be sure to let me know what game this is too. You may also feel free to share any stories you may have about meeting another person online that lives many miles away from you and some of the things your new online friend has taught you. I look forward to reading your replies and perhaps I can get one of these video games that allow me to interact with people from all over the world.

Well I went shopping for a new fan last night. I found a great little fan that for its size; it blows out a lot of air. It’s a metal fan and it set me back about 12 bucks. So for the cost and what it does, I am pleased with my purchase. There are so many different models that claim to be quiet and perform all sorts of tricks. I have noticed that even some of the newer Sealy mattresses are incorporating a Coolmax type product that actually helps to absorb your body heat and keep the mattress much cooler.
Now I like to have a breeze blowing on my face at night. Especially during the hot summer nights . I know some people just can’t sleep without a fan. It is something that you get use to. It’s not just the air that is constantly blowing over you, but the sound of the fan. The sound is a constant soothing noise that helps us to fall asleep. I got a real good night’s sleep last night, with my new small fan blowing in my face. I normally go with the normal size window fans that are made out of plastic, but this high velocity fan made out of metal works just as good. It doesn’t take up that much space either, so finding a place to put it, is much better than the bigger plastic fans.

I have struggled to find just the right update on renewable energy for the site. I keep reading about certain bills being brought forward to create more initiative in this demanding area. Of course we have all heard about the new gas mileage mandates for our auto industry, but I cannot find anything that would create goals for wind and solar. It still does not have the voice that is should. Where is T Boone Pickens right now? Is it true that he is holding back on his windfarm investment in Texas? You would think that now there would be a ground swell of support. We could invest in our own country’s future and infrastructure that will last for generations to come! Yet, it does not make the headlines. Whose to say. Perhaps it should just be the power of the people and not what makes headlines. There are companies like Enigin that employ consultants to help businesses find ways to save on their energy costs. If the people in the grassroots were to stand up for this with their own personal investment in renewable energy, then the government would take notice and hopefully drive more to consider this amazing power without a government that hates us in control. Now would be the time to invest in your home to at least be ready to hook up your car to electric charging devices and have a back up solar package ready to go. Why not, I guess we are still spoiled. We’ll see how it all shakes out.

I’m sure many of you remember a TV show that use to come on in the 60′s called Flipper. It was a great television show back then and still would be today if you can find a channel showing it. There has also been a few movies made about Flipper over the years. If you have been on another planet and have never heard about Flipper, you may want to rent one of the movies sometime.
Flipper was the Lassie of the sea and was always saving the day or capturing the bad guys that needed capturing. The collie that would play Lassie on TV had it much easier and Lassie could run around on land, growl and bark to get her point across. The chirping sounds of Flipper wasn’t really that frightening; nor the fact that if you had to get away from Flipper you just needed to hop on a boat or get to land. That’s because Flipper was a dolphin! A big difference in a dog that rescues people when you compare it to a dolphin rescuing people. Maybe one of the talented TV writers will sit down one day and write up a movie or TV series and have Lassie and Flipper both in it. Now that would be a great combination to see and they could fight trouble by land or sea. It would be like Superman and AquaMan getting together from the Superfriends to rescue everyone and make sure the bad guys got caught.

Alyssa Milano, the star from Who’s the Boss, is going to be appearing in a new movie on Lifetime March 15th called Wisegal. The director is the same man that played Donnie Brasco in the true story of his life. Alyssa’s character also involves the part of a true story. It’s a story of a woman struggling to provide for her family and gets persuaded by a Brooklyn Family mob captain, that she can make good money working for the them. Soon Alyssa’s character wants out and it’s not always as easy to leave the mob, as it is to join.
This movie will be on at 9PM EST this Saturday, March 15th. It’s called Wisegal and you can watch it on the Lifetime channel. I believe the Wisegal movie will be something worth watching on television for a change.

2007 is no longer with us and now we get to welcome in 2008! Today is the day many people will be making New Year’s Resolutions and hopefully they will at least last through the first day. I guess losing weight is the most popular one, but good luck with whatever resolution you decide to choose.
I’m hoping for a great 2008 year and I’m going to try my best and make it better than 2007. There are some traditional foods we are suppose to eat today. I think collard greens, candy yams, hog jowls and black-eyed peas is suppose to be a few things we have on our plates today. Everyone have a safe holiday and may all your college football teams win today and over the next week too! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
